ALTERED IMAGES - BRING ME CLOSER

Here’s another band I only knew from their two hits: “Happy Birthday” and “I Could Be Happy.” I’ve always loved those songs, so when I found their third and final album “Bite” in the 25 cent bin I picked it up right away. Boy…what a disappointment. The lead singer’s voice is truly terrible. Take a listen to this disco-fied song and see for yourself. And what were they thinking making a disco song in 1983? (Particularly since this band was not previously known for disco.) Needless to say, I chucked the album. I still enjoy their two hits, but an entire album of that voice is too much.
